It would legitimately be easier to just impeach him than do this. I do not understand it.

Turns out it's published as a standalone in the UK and carried by @shakespeareandcompany.com but it's cost prohibitive.... I whinge about spending $23 on a book that's less than 200 pages. ["Should novellas be cheaper than novels?" A question I'm always considering.]

My half birthday is coming...

There's SOO MUCH TO READ year over year with awards noms, voting, friends' books, surprise books, and just pleasure reading and I just wanna nip out and devour this piece. But it comes with so much other worlds.

And it was adapted as an opera!

Does that seem weird to anyone else?

Does anyone else think it's odd that Le Guin's PARADISES LOST was never released as a standalone novella? In both collection that feature it, it's the sore thumb with Earthsea and Hainish stories and it is neither an Earthsea or Hainish story.....
And I really want to read it as a standalone because

It's doubly hilarious because I'm also a person who puts good books down because the style throws me off.

A photo of me standing in the library.

It’s another Saturday at the Library!!!

The books, they whisper to me.

So many perfect reads, so little time.

Yes! But all that to say, I expect rhythm or cadence to change versus voice.

I revisited a piece this week I haven't touched in years and it was funny because I recognize the voice but love the idea of finding its rhythm so I can finish the story.

Speaking of adult portal fantasies, I'm rereading PALIMPSEST by Valente next. There's a story here.

I don't think people should say this without proof -- they are literally not "now in ICE." Most of them are in the Portland PD, if you want to make a point of it.
Yes, right-wing dudes are in the police everywhere and all at once. This line is just a way to maintain police exceptionalism.

I wasn't the only boy who wanted console Atreyu when Artex died, right?

I wasn't the only boy who wanted to be the MacGuffin at the end of Atreyu's quest, right?

I'm not the only person who saw Bastian was in love with Atreyu.

Right?

But y'all see me.

And when I lose sight of who I am and why I'm doing, y'all told me to remember who I am in the Heritage of Octavia and Chip.

That energy is what I'm walking into 2026 and beyond with.

Thank you severely.

Late Update!

I have class in 34 minutes. Thank you.

Last year, I ran a gofundme to the tune of $7k in order to keep me in school so I can graduate before the DOE is a picked-over husk and because my art school doesn't know how to value my contributions to literature. I don't believe I'm Chip or
