Stevens to RFK Jr: "To top it off, Mr Secretary, I got a copy of HR-944. You know what it is? It's your impeachment articles, sir. You have abused your office, you have gutted America's public health! You should be ashamed."

One of the closest bonds is between the pro-OrbĂĄn Danube Institute and the Washington, D.C.-based Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank recently known for its role in a possible Trump transition plan known as Project 2025.

Dr. Kevin Roberts, president of the Heritage Foundation, described Orban's leadership as a "model for conservative governance" during a press briefing earlier this year. Former president Trump has denied any involvement in Project 2025. Members of the two think tanks have held in-person meetings every three months, both in Washington, D.C., and Budapest, where experts discuss issues such as the Ukraine war and immigration, according to sources close to both institutions.

In 2023, the Danube Institute also agreed to host visiting researchers from The Heritage Foundation to study Hungarian policies in various fields. Heritage and Danube signed an agreement in 2023 that involved no financial transactions by either party, CBS has learned. Through cooperation with right-wing intellectuals abroad, the Danube Institute has proved instrumental in promoting the culturally conservative vision of OrbĂĄn's Hungary.

"I am proud to call Viktor OrbĂĄn a friend and ally, and I am proud of the strong relationship between Heritage and The Danube Institute," Kevin Roberts, President of The Heritage Foundation told CBS News.

FWIW, Kevin Roberts, under fire for refusing to condemn NeoNazis, insists that no ₽₽₽ have changed hands.

That relationship deserves much more unpacking -- and maybe Magyar can help.

Three right-wing ideologues signed contracts that may require they register as foreign agents for a Hungarian government-funded organization – and that the organization is possibly altering language in contracts to avoid this – according to a review of their contracts with the organization.

Conservative activist Christopher Rufo, right-wing writer Michael O’Shea and Claremont Institute senior fellow Jeremy Carl signed contracts with the Hungarian government-funded nonprofit Batthyány Lajos Foundation (BLA), which maintains the Danube Institute (DI), a Hungarian think tank. The contracts are from 2022 and 2023.

These contracts require either a speech, media appearance, reports or – in the case of O’Shea – a minimum of two articles in U.S. or European media. They cover issues of migration, LBGTQ+ rights, critical race theory (CRT) and Hungary’s relations with regional allies. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has used all these issues to win influence with the international conservative and far-right movements.

I'm fairly gobsmacked by the number of people who profess surprise that OrbĂĄn was funding CPAC. Did you know of his ties to Heritage and Project 2025?

One of the most telling, tho, was he funded Rufo and the racist Trump tried to install at State, Jeremy Carl.

The American gestapo abducted an 85 year-old widow.

Was she one of the worst of the worst? No, her step-son, a retired Alabama state trooper, got ICE to put her in a detention center to deport her because he wanted all of his father's inheritance.

Sounds like the son is the worst of the worst.

Anyone else getting the sense that Trump is colluding with energy market robber barons to screw every last one of the rest of us? Anyone else starting to feel like the Second Iran War is a grift to enrich domestic and foreign billionaires at the expense of America's middle class?

I dunno - if the high point of your career is doing intros for a convicted felon and adjudicated sex pest, anyone might reconsider their life choices…

Two Texas pregnant women have died because of delay of care and the state medical board is sanctioning 3 ER doctors for it. Hmm, could it have something to do with their drastic, stupid and inhumane strict abortion laws 🤔

We live in morally bankrupt times. These men were all conceived by women and yet they hate them so much to resort to absolute violence toward them. No wonder trump has followers. They think that his Epstein connection is a positive thing. We are doomed as a species.

Exposing a global ‘online rape academy’ that is teaching men how to abuse women and evade detection CNN exposes an online network of men encouraging each other to drug and assault their partners, and swap tips on how to get away with it.

Men are not safe to be around. If the men women trust most can commit this horror, what hope do women have around men they don't know? The answer is none. No woman is safe alone around a man, because men have proven ourselves untrustworthy.

The sooner society realizes this the better.

Make a huge database so women can check to see if their names are there….Because all of these men will now be in divorce court but they should all be in criminal court. Like fly paper…all of them trapped in their own crimes against humanity. I also believe in bringing back castration at this point.
