You all may be having a fancy time over at AWP or CCCCs this week, but back here at home I just got selected as one of 7 Finalists for a Foreword INDIES Award, in the category of Women's Studies no less! Fingers crossed that the book could win! I'm so thrilled about this wonderful turn of events.

One funny thing happening every time I do a poetry reading from this new book is the next day on social media I get bombarded with a barrage of Jamie Lee Curtis content. I guess that's happening because Jamie Lee Curtis' name appears in several poems in my new book, & the apps are hearing me say it.

Had a dream last night where I submitted my academic CV and job search materials to a faculty member at a major university for constructive feedback and criticism. After two days, the faculty member responded by writing back just one sentence: "It's important to be a millionaire."
