This week I have Co-host of @coldwarcinema.com to discuss a terrible, yet analytically rich film: Red Dawn.

Sure Chuck Schumer is a coward but he’s also a moron and bad leader.

This one was really fun. I (Wythe) love Cronenberg's biopunk movies, and I'm honored to have chatted with @leftoftheprojector.com & @timespace.place about them (and tech + human evolution) on the pod. Check it:

Please, pretty please, stop falling for the same propaganda the Government used for the last Iraq War.

This was a great conversation with @prolespod.bsky.social! It's definitely not a film that will uplift your spirts -- it's a hard watch and can feel crushing at times, but well worth your watch (and listen).

Godzilla (1954) - Left of the Projector This episode explores the 1954 film Godzilla as both a creature feature and a commentary on humanity post-nuclear disaster. Joined by Nat, Bill, and Lev...

I had the very great pleasure and privilege of appearing on @leftoftheprojector.com to talk about my second favorite movie of all time. Hear us discuss American imperialism, tiny human moments that make us who we are, and *of course* tremendous rubber lizards.

It's only about, for example, the US/Mexico because that is one of many long lines of instances where colonizers exploited labor. They use scapegoats of undocumented or undesireables to put groups against each other instead of the colonizer.

So much of Andor makes sense when you view it through the lens of labor exploitation. Mina-Rau is a grain planet for the empire. Decisions they make are based on exploitation of labor just as colonizers like UK, France, US have done for centuries.

Ok. It’s time to post an annoyingly amount about Andor.

And now we have private companies “inventing” the bus. It’s the next public service they want to destroy.

This is what big oil, tires and automobile industry took from us. Los Angeles was a massive rail and trolley town. These same industries intentionally bankrupted the trolley to pave (pun intended) the way for a highway system.
