Have you had ripe jackfruit?

2 hours ago 0 0 1 0

Yes but not quite the same as an apple as it's far less juicy (based on the two I had). I'm trying to think of a fruit to compare to on texture but I'm not coming up with one. When my brain pings I'll let you know!

Yes e do that too once we've done some recipes as written for the review! LOTS of tweaking!

Appley but maybe a hint of lime / citrus

We always follow the recipe as closely as we can when reviewing a cookbook.

We spent 2 weeks in Lebanon on a food-oriented tour run by a fellow food blogger. Just 4 people in our tour group so we really got to experience the people, cuisine, landscapes, culture and above all the people of Lebanon.

My heart dies a little each time I hear of another attack by Israel.

I bet they were very very very much cheaper there! I paid £4.80 for this one mangosteen! But it was worth it to try a good one! 😁😁😁

This is the second time I had then and the last time I realised when I opened that they were old and somewhat dried out. This one was far juicier!

Borough market, Raya Grocery, and ask the staff to show you how to pick one that's fully ripe for now or ripe in a few days and how to spot the ones that are not nearly ripe at all.

No not at all. It's creamy and very juicy, the taste is sort of strawberry pineapple apricot? So hard to describe.

The Longan that I shared yesterday are more like lychee but they are smaller and they have black pepper note to the flavour too which I love.

Ouch!
At least with adults its only their own health they are affecting but what I truly can't imagine having to deal with (were I a health professional) are the parents who veto treatment for their children because of their religious beliefs. That needs to be illegal. Maybe it is?
