I’m kind of sad his more original personal works like the oldest view aren’t getting picked up but I hope this leads to more opportunities for him

Also good lord I'm glad we don't have to hand-weave all our fabric anymore. If embroidering a teeny tiny area takes this long I can't even imagine what having to weave and embroider an entire garment or bedspread would do to my sanity. Thank you, automatic looms
I have been learning embroidery and my thoughts so far are:
- VERY SLOW
- Despairing to start but somehow incredibly satisfying once it all starts pulling together
- Ow, my neck. Ow, my elbow. Why is my thumb going numb??
- Video tutorials are def better than my janky Amazon kit instructions, lol.
Yes Ross used it as a catch phrase a lot. It's been a thing among all fields since the dawn of human creativity.
Letting errors happen in your process is important. You might just start with something and on the way you discover things by accident you wouldn't have thought of. A machine can't do that.
Creativity doesn't require talent. Many people just lost the ability to play. Have fun with an idea, and not let rational thinking dominate. The unexpected combination of things, experimentation. Letting go of perfectionism.

Should I do a larger reprint of this? I am not sure I want to play with tubes again bit I have one or two other big prints in mind so maybe???
smaller ones still available for now www.pamwishbow.com/shop/p/the-l...

lol even after spending almost all my adult life on Twitter the engagement here is still too much for me, so I literally have to restrict the engagement
So my laptop from 2017 also has a fried battery and charger. Should I repair it and keep my 2011 iMac, or sell the iMac and have a coworker construct a new PC for a few hundred dollars? My roommate also has a PC of his own he is willing to sell, that could go towards the build.
As someone who who’s lived a few blocks from George Floyd Square in Minneapolis for the past like seven years, all this feels real familiar
I favorite a post of some family suffering in another country and immediately these bots do the same by begging me to donate to them, it just never ends lmao
various illustrations of a young boy with a bright orange toque, green rain jacket, shorts and a sweater. He's accompanied by a large, disheveled seagull- his father, cursed by a mermaid after he refused her advances.

ps- I am not defending the christian bible, but I'm from the camp of believing that people should read sacred texts bc 1) they introduce new ways of thinking and viewing the world 2) they'll help you understand other people, and 3) it helps to know what you're talking about when you talk about them
Naturally he would not gravitate towards the parts of the bible that are parabolic-- that emphasize heroics or good deeds or caring for each other-- but towards the parts that describe the omnipotence of god (himself as an "angel" by extension) and divine punishment for the people who hurt him.
all compiled with the intention of being read and discussed *within a community*, especially when what's being read is malleable or challenges your way of thinking. Nai read it *alone*, and was interpreting things the way that suited him best, because we was young and angry and scared.
gonna flap my religion degree around for a sec and say that it wasn't the fact that Nai read the bible that messed him up. sacred texts of any religion are not inherently dangerous at all, and I think it's just as important to read them as any other historic piece of literature. However, they were-
his account was suspended so i'll say again: i'm very worried for my friend Ahmad, whose family— including his disabled mother + his siblings' children— is facing not only violence and famine, but also further displacement. if you're able to help, even just share, please do 💔

It's like the writers just gave Ekko one brain cell by having him ask these stupid ass questions to people lmao
God, I hate Ekko's character in season 2 of Arcane
"Didn't you try to kill him?"
Motherfucker your in an ALTERNATIVE UNIVERSE, like you still can't put two and two together and not realize that already?
It's just funny to me that some people can just conclude that a crazy bullshit scene can be representative of something that doesn't even have any merit to it besides being fucked up and weird. Which is why I think it's funny that anybody can try and make sense of it.
-but the way people phrase it under the comment section of that scene, just makes the movie feel pretentious the more you think about it, and most of the time it doesn't even feel like it serves a purpose aside from being disturbing and shocking.
I love how people say shit about the Antichrist movie being that the scene where the fox rips out it's insides is meant to represent depression or whatever the fuck. And there is nothing wrong with trying to symbolize a deep meaning in your art-
I've been away from the internet for a month, and then I return to hear news that Saberspark and Oompavile are being canceled. What a time to be alive.
I am exhausted, but I am going to be stubbornly confident that after all this I will still somehow find work and stability and that things will be alright ! I am tenacious.
