we’ve reduced NSFW to “gooning material,” and as a result, fandoms will mock and demean artists/writers for creating content that features sex (esp if it’s explicit). i feel like too much of fandom no longer sees sex as an art form that real people both enjoy doing and enjoy watching.

Feels like a lot of the problem with fandom lately is people treating writers and artists like they’re public figures

fighting god and the devil himself to keep Master-Peace from taking over my entire brain (i just love it so bad)

the way harassment and bullying has become so normalized in fandoms is a little scary. i don’t ever remember it being this bad? maybe i just didn’t pay attention when i was younger, but this week alone i’ve seen multiple writers across different fandoms get so badly harassed they leave 😭
