You can wire them directly in line with the speaker which is neat.

I agree! Sound quality is what you can expect from a budget product but its not terrible. I thought it had no actual tweeters but it seems to have piezoelectric tweeters. I did not know that was a thing.

I know right!? Minding my own business at the thrift store and I spotted it on the bottom shelf. Cool design and in such good condition I just had to have it. The speakers are detachable and the only problem I can find is that the left tapedeck does not work. Probably a broken belt.

I was able to remove the connector without damaging the pads on a second controller. So I opted to fix that instead that first.
