Never-mind, the collapse of the world’s largest consumer economy on which much of US economic power is premised.

Latest from War Room, my conversation with RADM Paul Becker on intelligence and Homeland Security.
This piece gives insufficient attention to a potential UK-DEU nuclear deterrent. The UK deterrent consists solely of submarine-launched missiles. It could be made more survivable (and more independent from the US) and potent through partnership w/ DEU.
ADC. I like it.
European Defence Community (EDC). Hoping it works this time.
Here's what i find puzzling: why we assume private resource extraction companies are going to rush into a country with a very large neighbor poised to re-invade (a third time). I thought security/stability PREcedes investment, not the other way around.
This is incredible. Knock yourself out, Russian intel services. “A person familiar with the matter …said analysts at the agency were verbally informed that they were not to follow or report on Russian threats, even though this had previously been a main focus for the agency.” Cc @ciaranm.bsky.social
I think you would have to search long & hard to find a more invertebrate figure than Lindsey Graham today. Zelensky "needs to resign" ... "I have never been more proud of the president. I was very proud of JD Vance standing up for our country" www.foxnews.com/politics/utt...
Combat brigades are not Europe’s problem. Readiness of those brigades and high end enablers is. It’s not an issue now, given the state of the Russian military, but it could be in the coming years.
Re-upping this podcast I did with American University’s Sharon Weiner for absolutely no reason whatsoever.

I could have imagined a lot of things in American politics but not a normalization of Nazi salutes and such tentativeness by the media to call them what they are. They are Nazi salutes. It’s not owning the libs. It’s not joking. It’s fascism. If you give a Nazi salute, you’re a fascist. Just say it.

Who’s the gangster?
That’s true, but the past few years have shown that they go a long way. Also, if Germany doesn’t lead a responsible nuclear program for EU nuclear deterrence, it will be ceded to others. Finally, sadly, extended French deterrence is contingent on French elections (National Rally👀)
1. I wouldn’t call Germany a small state. Recalling now the Kissinger quote.
2. The last few years have proven the deterrent value of nukes.
3. Yes, conventional deterrence must balance with nuclear. Recalling NATO debates from the ‘80s and SACEUR Rogers.

In the interest of being petty, I'm going to point out everything wrong with Dan Bessner's salvo against liberal internationalism.
1. He claims that the US has decided to turn its back on the idea of an RBO because of the rise of China.
That's dubious. Trump's shift/

Russians are going to Russian. Enemies to humankind.
It’s shameful. Hard to believe this is the party of Reagan.
What a rock star! She’s right.
Agree with the Brits. 100%
Good men & women in EUCOM are—as they've done every month since Feb 2022—actively helping track & repel this aerial assault. Meanwhile their commander-in-chief at home is actively attacking Ukraine's president, while handing concession after concession to the state firing the missiles.
