Need to get back there
A pint of cask beer and a copy of A pub for all seasons, by Adrian Tierney-Jones.
No football for me this afternoon, instead the unexpected pleasure of a pint, a book and stress free Sunday solitude. @atjbeer.bsky.social
Don’t forget if you do do one at least 6-7 weeks lagering (or even more) as I’ve been told by Central European brewers - oh and a decoction mash (that’s just my obsession)
Hope you enjoy it, as an Arsenal fan I have a stressful afternoon ahead but I’m soothing it with a Doppelbock from @teamutopian.bsky.social
I'm in the pub @rogerprotz.bsky.social @petebrownbeer.bsky.social @atjbeer.bsky.social
If that’s the Coopers I remember about 10/12 years ago @petebrownbeer.bsky.social and I were in there and about to order Jaipur and we saw Bass was on, immediate swerve (though we also had Jaipur later)
Very good mate
Did BrewDog put cask beer back a decade? Here’s my latest for @whatsbrewing.bsky.social.

That sounds good
I was amazed that I had not featured Theakston’s Old Peculier before as my beer of the week but in today’s @dailystar.co.uk that omission has been rectified

Excellent piece
Royal Oak at Borough
Got a train home soon from Waterloo but it’d be rude not to pay my respects
Back from holiday and would love for you to read this especially for the Shaun of the Dead reference. It's about how some act like Zombies when listening to politicians talk about pubs
It's SIBA Indie Beer Week! We've scooped up every story we've ever published about UK independent breweries so you can find them in one place. Enjoy! And long live indie beer!

I live in Exeter and when I travel it’s straight to Eurostar but this time seeing my son in Tulse Hill gave me this opportunity
I used to stay in Carshalton 30 years ago when we moved to Somerset and I still worked at a London mag - my wife came from there and her parents had a business next to Carshalton Beeches with a flat above so I stayed there but the Hope wasn’t a place to go then
Naturally
This was the right one
Wrong pic
I noticed them on a blackboard
Finally made it to the Hope in Carshalton, what a fabulous pub

Bit of a change of scene for my beer of the week in today’s @dailystar.co.uk - it’s a deliciously refreshing Raspberry Radler from Lofi and an ideal first beer after you’ve ran a marathon as my son is doing in Brighton this weekend (I’ll be watching from the Evening Star)
