True, it does not temper the policy much and is easily remedied but....

Any use of LFR not connected to crime is unlawful
Using LFR (in Bridges and here) to identify missing persons, vulnerable persons and perhaps "those wanted by the courts" (para 115 of the judgment) - Met policy - must be unlawful for that reason
I still think it is unlawful, for reasons not traversed in either Bridges or here..and which I've told final year LLB students for several years but never committed to paper
The legal power is the common law - to prevent crime etc.
It follows that the power can only be used to promote

So, in short, many Aus cases seem to me to be either staged mass protests which don’t trouble UK courts greatly and problematical either OR they’re “really” right to protest cases
