Yes! 100% agree. Paprika’s story just struggles to come together after act 1, and by the end you’re just scratching your head.

If you can catch a theatre showing of Tokyo Godfathers around Christmas, I think it’s probably the best /experience/ I’ve had with a Kon film. I really like all of them (PB and Paprika included), but PB’s dub doesn’t work as well as the sub. Opposite goes for Paprika imo.

Millennium Actress is my favorite Kon film but I’m regularly surprised that that is an extremely unpopular take. It’s one of the only 2 steelbooks I own.

So much science is moving forward because grad students are taking on peer review that senior faculty are not interested in. And a nonzero amount of this is probably scientific malpractice since grad students don’t have as much experience finding paper red flags. We live in a society.
