A screenshot of a poem. The poem reads:
Choose your leaders
with wisdom and forethought.
To be led by a coward
is to be controlled
by all that the coward fears.
To be led by a fool
is to be led
by the opportunists who control the fool.
To be led by a thief
is to offer up your most precious treasures to be stolen.
To be led by a liar
is to ask to be told lies.
To be led by a tyrant
is to sell yourself and those you love into slavery.

I'm glad she got it. I was 6 months old when I had the measles. The doctor initially thought I was too young to get it despite it circulating in my county (it was the 60s and the vaccine hadn't been out for long and was over 12mths+). I was sick for several years after that.

I'm one of them. I'm normally an NDP volunteer but in Carleton I've volunteered with the Liberals. Now I've joined a federal party for the first time and look forward to voting for Mark Carney. I've also volunteered to help Bruce too.

MAGA’s Canadian Sweetheart Vows to ‘Retaliate’ Against Trump in Tariff War Canadian Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre has said he will tackle Trump’s tariffs head-on if he is elected Canadian prime minister this year.

“MAGA’s Canadian Boyfriend” is a label Team Pierre won’t like.

This is happening in Canada too. The Canadian Broligarchy have formalized into a website too, lobbying government (sorry, not lobbying, except every member of their group is a CEO or founder- that's not a special interest group? They think they're very special!) Their policies are for THEM only.

That's depressing. Are they actually following along? Is he distracting people with his bullying and tarrifs without them realizing what's already happened with China canceling what $60B in imports as well as refusing to sell tech components?.

It's hard keeping up with international politics these days.
-Syrian President ousted.
-S Korean President "stepping back" after failed coup.
-French government falls.
-USA...well...

Who's next? Georgia?

A table with cards and playing pieces from the tabletop game Seven Wondersh

Played Seven Wonders for the first time in a few years. It's a unique game where the first round seems impossibly complicated and then as you learn it, subsequent rounds take about 30mins. Probably one of my favourite games because I win it a lot lol!

Pierre Poilievre’s rage-baiting and empty slogans aren’t what Canada needs Canada risks electing dubious Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre based on little more than catchy slogans and voter fatigue.

Pierre Poilievre is so desperate for power, he’ll do and say anything to push buttons and rage-bait. Don’t let politicians insult your intelligence.

I feel this one is obvious. Didn't find it until I was 16 and then I devoured every fantasy book I could find.

And not forgetting (well, I've totally forgotten her name). Named after a grain. Adorable and an absolute character.

I don't particularly like Trudeau, but he is excellent as a politician. I hope more people see this clip. #NeverConservative

My conservative pharmacist said "you know, I'm thinking of voting NDP in the next election because look what they've ACTUALLY done - pharmacare and the dental plan - the conservatives aren't talking about any actual plans, just slogans". 🧡

Hurry up because now I need to learn about what Adirondack chairs have to do with TB!
I'm one of the few people in North America with a TB vaccine scar. I was the only one in my class who failed the skin test so got the vaccine aged 13. I reacted strongly to it and got a scar that I'm proud of.

I'll take lots of recommendations! There's still 6 weeks until the new year so lots of time to read books while I ignore my TBR list.

I'm good to go! I don't think I've even opened this book. I didn't have copies of the older books and I have ebooks of them so it about time I cracked this one open (gently!)

I LOVE Discworld!! Why didn't I think of a re-read? I own the book (in multiple formats, ahem). He is my all-time favourite author and always will be.
