Again, Delta is really good, and the team working on it has done an excellent job. My age is simply showing, and I'd in many ways I just wish we got new games LIKE Metal Gear Solid 3's instead of... New Metal Gear Solid 3's.

I am also currently playing RE2 remake, never having played the original, and am loving it. I hope MGSD is a great first step into the franchise for people who have not yet played it. And to be clear - I am enjoying it. It just also makes me want to play the original.

I think the way the Silent Hill 2 remake was handled is probably the right way to do it - making it a new experience with the same beats - but while I've not played it, it too has changes that really irks me since they are my fondest memories of the original.

It really highlights the downsides of the industry's constant pursuit of visual realism, and I think that the painterly light and simple textures of the original still looks better. Don't get me wrong - Delta looks fantastic, but it's hard to not miss the yellow filter and the other worldly lighting

This remake is so far truly as good as a faithful remake could be. Yet I'm really struggling to enjoy it.

I am getting over the controller thing, but thanks to being so faithful -I still default back to muscle memory in hectic moments and have to reload due to pressing the wrong buttons.

Does anyone know the rules around portraying money based on real expired money (like an old coin) in video games? Would one need permission or is it fair use due to expiredness?

Just started up Metal Gear Solid Delta, and tried playing with the Legacy controls. And uhm...

Kiddo points to Yoda and with the confidence of a thousand suns goes "Cat!". Technically we don't know his species so who am I to disagree?

Fully agreed. The amount of times I've seen AAA studios systemically paper design things to "perfection" - spending months or even years to write the perfect design, only for it to be unplayable or genuinely boring and sauce-less when it's actually put together, with no time for iteration.

i am the opposite of this. the building is 90% of the designing, if you keep me in pure design land for more than twenty minutes you will send me berserk

Happy Birthday April Ryan! April was named after a month of her birth. The start of spring and the season of new beginnings. It's spring again and we want to take a moment to celebrate the girl who started it all. The very first protagonist of the series back in 1999.

The triple A games industry is spinning out atm and Capcom is over here seeing massive success with:
- Investing in their own super scalable tech
- Not doing multiplayer at the expense of single player
- Serving existing fans
- Exploring new ideas as well
- Gameplay first approach across the board

Remembered the old 80s Star Wars audiobooks that were translated fully to Swedish, and for some reason spent way too long making this Swedish version of the Star Wars Outlaws logo.

MGS2 and other games from earlier generations should be part of game art education and learning and not only about only real time and the latest tech. If you can make a hallway interesting with just an electrical box and a handful of pipes and let colour and light work for you then you get it.

Yesss! I believe the novelization of ANH called him Tuggbuss as well and Tie Fighters were called Lรคnkplan.

"The moomins are having fun day after day" the outro to the 90s cartoon claims, but I beg to differ.

Every other episode is the most borderline lovecraftian thing to ever happen and the vibes are very much not "fun".

I miss when Warhammer 40k's 'Everyone forgot how computers work and now just pray to the machine-spirit to not fuck things up' was fanciful satire.

our main character stands silhouetted against an absolutely enormous crashed spaceship. It's been there for a while, rust and vines and broken parts all over the place. This ship has become part of the forest, and this place feels secretive because we're looking at it from a darkened tunnel. What a find.

This time our main character is standing silhouetted in the tunnel, but we're at a slightly different angle now so we can't really see the spaceship. We can see metal and vines, and the lovely round framing of this round metal tunnel we're standing in, but we can't quite see enough of the wreckage to realise what we're looking at.

This location reveal was my favourite in the whole game. The environment artists on this game were really top-notch. ๐ŸŽฎ #StarWarsOutlaws #VirtualPhotography
