If food prices were to drop, it would be a sign of deflation, and the central bank would do everything to fight it. The current food prices are the new normal; they will not go back to the level they were at two years ago.

One dollar now costs 11 Swedish kronor; when I was in the USA 13 years ago, one dollar cost 6 Swedish kronor. I still have the jacket from Ralph Lauren that I bought in Chicago.

Now they have lit the lights in the tree in the yard. 🌃⭐🎅
