When did everyone stop saying “welcome” and start saying “welcome in”? I really hate it and it is definitely the most important problem in America right now.
My 14yo is really into the Victorian Balkans and the Czechs 1920-45, thank goodness for sprawling strategy games

After that plane literally flipped upside down after smashing into the runway and 100% of people survived, I hope every person who ever said “what’s even the point of seatbelts on a plane” feels like a real doof.
Snapshot of the 1856 article by E. Foote describing her experiment, and concluding that an atmosphere of CO2 would result in significantly higher temperatures.

That scene REALLY rankled me, partly because my brother had just died a couple years before at 13.
I hate that *I* have to be the one to remind my students that MOST of human history (and around the world NOW) involved a LOT more grief MUCH earlier than we pretend it does/did.
Well, we KNOW there will be a fight because of civil findings against him. And, I'm PRETTY sure it will get REAL messy between the fams.
Now, I absolutely do NOT wish for anyone's death, but Trump doesn't seem like an organized detail guy. So, it will be interesting when it happens.
If you're like me, you need a bit of escapism this season that's unrelated to an upcoming transfer of power. I heartily recommend "Hot Frosty" on Netflix: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dmi7...
It and it's sequel are incredible. I am so surprised that they are not better known
