Great shot! Really blends into the background. I would to see one of these little guys over here in SE Michigan.

Great shot of a tricky bird to photograph. I’m hoping to find one on my trip to New Orleans this year.

Great shots of this sparrow. I’m hoping I might catch a glimpse as they migrate through Michigan.

All of them! I’m a newbie, so this will be my 1st spring migration. I’d be thrilled to see yellow-rumped warblers!

I think the Lark Sparrows are particularly beautiful, but you captured them so well and the blur/fade to the background is just perfect. 💯

Spectacular shot!

These are some great photos of a Black-throated Gray Warbler! You can tell by the small yellow patch above the eye. We don’t get them here in the Eastern part of North America.

Very cool shot the way the primaries are overlapping.

Very cool to see all the birds from your trip, thanks for sharing the recap!

Just like the others remarked, this is a spectacular shot. So much drama perfectly rendered. The osprey’s gaze, the outstretched wings, the warm lighting, the water drops frozen in time. 💯

Great photos. Such crisp details, and the blue really pops.

Here in suburban Detroit, the 1st bird I heard was an American Robin, similarly singing around sunrise. The 1st that I saw was a House Sparrow.

Nice shot of a brown-headed cowbird (adult male). The female is all brown in color.

Really nice shot. I wish this bird could be seen in the Midwest. I guess I’ll just have to schedule a trip to AZ at some point in the not so distant future…

Looks like a Swamp Sparrow to me. The eyeline isn’t straight (Chipping Sparrow) and there isn’t any streaking on the breast (Song Sparrow).

I love the artwork. Minimalistic, yet instantly recognizable.

I think you are correct with GRYE. Especially the 2nd photo, the bill is very long.

Bird losses are accelerating across North America, particularly in farming regions where agriculture is most intensive Farming areas that use lots of fertilizers and pesticides stood out for the swift and accelerating decline of their bird populations.

A new analysis of long-term data from the Breeding Bird Survey shows that bird population declines in North America are accelerating and may be linked with agricultural intensification. #ornithology

That is an immature White-Crowned Sparrow. The brown stripes on the head eventually turn black. The dark color on the end of the bill is characteristic of this bird.
