Please read the whole thread. Hannah makes really important points. I have refused to buy books from Amazon for a long time now. Amazon only cares about their profits & their tactics take the money from authors, self published or traditionally published. They might be easy, but they're bad for art.

Unfortunately, I reckon this is spot on.
I'm still struggling with that after my last novel. No one wanted to even beta it. It put so much of soul into it and not one person cared to read it.
Now every word is like dragging myself through a swamp.
My cat is playing the game of how much trouble do I get into for touching the tree. He is sat next it, looking me dead in the eye as he touches the nearest bauble.
He knows what he's doing.
