That's the one! I wore out copies of this as a kid. Saw him at the Tommy Bartlett show at Wisconsin Dells. This started it all. I wonder if I got the vinyl in my stash still...
Dangit. I knew I was missing something.
I've had a similar journey. Although I only really started into the archives like 4 years ago. It spawned a lot of changes in my life. Self reflection of ideals, values, and lifestyle. The last few years going through the archives has really carried and shaped my life as of late. Big void to fill.
Good comedy is always picking out the absurd of humanity and society and turning it around, looking at it objectively, and skillfully breaking it down to the silliest notions it imbues. It's glorious, magical, and natural. It's real hard to fight going over into pure cynicism. Sometimes it's needed.
Every time I hear comedians talk about their influences and who they loved, it's always like hearing your story told back to you. I listened to comedy records as long as I can remember, and saw tons of stand-ups and movies growing up. Finally reconnecting is pretty great. Just like music.
The more things get screwed up, the more I dig in and start creating. Hell, I've kicked the tires of restarting an old podcast I did. The distraction is the only thing keeping this train on its tracks. Work, gym, distract. Music, books, and a lot of Stand-up. I have always loved comedy.
This is where it all began. In '98 stumbled on a site that had "Cuntface" as background music. Had a player that also included "Cocksucker" and a few more. I thought it was the owner of the site like a newb. Later I learned who Nasenbluten was. When I got deep into vinyl, I had to nab this. #gabber

I just want to see AEW at Aragon. That venue is a bit scared to me as it's the first show I went to in 1988. But I am growing weary of it as of late. I don't think I enjoy it live as much. I miss the commentary and different angles and hearing in ring stuff. I have urges to deep dive Stand-Up lately
*Raises hand* yeah that pretty much explains my entire thing as of late.
I often go on binges of listening to old stuff of mine. Some of it over 30 years old. And I wonder if I would have come up with the same thing all this time later knowing then what I know now. The ignorance was freeing creatively. I can hear myself in those early raw attempts it's great to notice.
I mean, it gets stuck in my head, I end up leaving it on repeat probably does help!

Ok. The #AEW circus coming to my favorite venue in town is magical treat. Let it be known that many of us locals lovingly call it The Aragon Brawlroom. If you were at that Anthrax/Exodus gig in 1988, well, you know. I have to catch one of those nights for sure.
It is sick. And has a long wrestling history. Been to many a show there as early as 1987 and it hasn't changed. It's a timeless Chicago classic.
My only experience is in sampling commercial works without consent, or within demoscene where all is traded freely and respect is shown by giving credit. The latter is more of what I am considering. I've always given my music for free so I skirt the legalities if any.
