Interesting that the toll was used to boost finances to pay for flood defences in the Hutt. Like a 19th century climate resilience fund. Petone to Pito-one name change gets backing from Hutt City Council Pito-one became Petone following colonial settlement in the 19th century, a misspelling of the area's traditional name. Now, it may change back.

As a Pito-one resident I'm very pleased to see this.
