oh. also. trans Lucas. i like trans girl Lucas lately, but i think Lucas being trans in any direction is good.
( we're going to need to find MM a proper name eventually, too. )
this is just one possible post-canon in my mind. but it's a very…comforting one to me, in a lot of ways. projection, sure. but i think a story of healing, forgiveness, and finding even more love (whether treating MM as a brother or a friend) in a former "enemy" has a lot to be explored.
feelings leftover from the last cycle, and MM would initially be a big reminder of that).
but carrying on the theme of love... love and acceptance will prevail. it's going to be different, but it's going to be okay. we will make it okay, together.
obviously there would be a lot of feelings from all parties. guilt from MM, once he begins to accept having feelings. a lot of complicated feelings from Claus. hesitance from Lucas (even if the world is "reset" and Claus and Hinawa are alive and well, i think there would still be a lot of traumatic
we've become attached to a post-game canon where the world has reset, but a figment of the Masked Man still exists within Claus (like a plurality/system situation), leading to a post-canon where Claus and Lucas (and the others eventually) teach MM individuality, and that it's okay to exist this way.
love you guys. hope you don't mind this bit of indulgence doubling as a tribute to the game that saved our life, over and over and over.
you can interpret this however you like. but we do have some thoughts below if you're interested.
