I want my books wide and they are. I hate what the book world has become with AI and the Everest size battle it has become to be seen. I can only hope that my books outlive the AI slop.

So after some thought over the weekend about Draft2Digital, I have decided to keep my books on there. I have never made $100 on there and I know I will most likely have to pay the fee, but in the end I don’t want to start over and move all 9 of them again. I don’t have the spoons.

I don’t want to work with Amazon more. This feels more like corporate greed than setting up boundaries for the AI book flood.

I am tempted to get ride of my mass market books that I sell through mass distribution on D2D. I spent a year making and designing new covers by hand. We are talking about a whole loss on a part of my larger business plan.

Now D2D will charge we a $12 annual fee if I don’t make a $100. But my books only do well when they are free 😞

I have one book that does smashing well on Smashwords. But that is when I mark it for free. All of my books do well for free. I want to make a little money. Even it’s just a fraction of a 99¢ sale, but nope. Doesn’t work.

I put my books into Draft2Digital because I wanted to offer another avenue for my book to be purchased through that didn’t involve Amazon. I wanted my books on Bookshop_org. D2D just partnered with them for ebook distribution. I wanted my books in libraries.

Now, I am not sure what to do.
