There were some complications and she’s going to need a foley for a few weeks, but Erika is feeling much better and will be able to come home today. We’re just waiting for the nurse/doctor to come in and kick us out.

I swear to $Diety that I sat through a TechFieldDay presentation from a company (one we’d all heard from multiple times before) that multiple delegates thought that someone in management said this to the engineers.

It was not a good presentation.

Update: They took a tumor out of Erika (along with a kidney, some shavings from her rib cage) Wednesday. She’s very sore but will probably be home by Monday.

They were going to do HIPEC but decided against it to protect the remaining kidney. Probably more chemo/immunotherapy in her future.
