People seated inside Clarkshaws' taproom, with a table of drinks. In the background more people are standing at the bar.
It's happening. We're reopening our taproom this Saturday. Join us for a pint 2-8pm.
A shoe points at an offset curb.
A different curb shows the same amount and direction of displacement.

Great new open access paper - “Newly Identified Creeping Strand of the Concord Fault, San Francisco Bay Area”.
I was able to go check out the area with the authors last summer. Super neat!

I think I tried that in Kyoto a few years ago. It’s an acquired taste. I wasn’t convinced at first but it grew on me to the point I really liked it. Not sure I’d like more than one or two.
I really want to eat it
An astonishingly fluffy gray and white tuxedo cat, sitting on a gray brick street. Basically a fuzzy circle doing a blep.
The same fluffy cat rolled over on his back, enjoying some pets on his chest. His belly fluff is all white, and you can see his pink toe beans.
Iceland cat thread?
Iceland cat thread!
This prodigious floofer on Heimaey RAN up to me for pets when I said hæ.
Funniest way to find out Brighton won. On the train, just after picking up a load of palace fans at Selhurst. “Oh shit”. “Brighton just scored”.
Trying hard to hide my glee 😄
Just incredible 😊
This image shows a striking scene where a tree has grown around and partially enveloped a classic red British post box. The tree’s bark has expanded over time, seemingly “swallowing” the upper part of the post box, creating a surreal fusion of nature and urban infrastructure. The setting appears to be a residential street in the UK, with brick buildings and parked cars in the background. This kind of image highlights the resilience of nature and the unexpected ways it adapts to human-made objects over time.
As I love accommodations and post boxes—and since my feed can be full of gloom—here’s a post box!
Fabulous blast from the past. Loved this…….Once I had mastered docking with space stations

In case anyone in the #Oxford area is looking for a #dog trainer, my good friend has just set up a new business. Details here: www.facebook.com/profile.php?...
An absolute beaut of a fossil.
Fabulous!
Decorated Christmas tree with fairy lights turned on
Cup of coffee on a table with a small ginger biscuit shaped as a Christmas tree
Finally feel a little Christmassy.
Thanks for the recommendation Rob.
Current situation…. Coffee and mince pie at a local cafe. Also giving pets to a lovely golden retriever who seems like a very good boy
My one experience of LaTeX was a bit of a disaster. It created havoc with some other pieces of software on my laptop. That being said I didn’t try particularly hard to fix it. Our software engineers were always singing its praises. Maybe I’ll try again.
Rock paper scissors is a great idea 😊
Window seats for the win. At least you can lean over your little human without looking too weird. If I travel with my gf we usually end up with aisle and middle as she prefers aisle. So I get middle 😭
Christmas tree, probably Nordmann Pine with fairy lights turned on. But no other decorations.
Today’s exciting activities included shouting at silicone sealant around the bath, walking to and from a cafe for coffee and not decorating the Christmas tree. I call it a successful day.
I seem to remember having trouble with PowerPoint slides and their formatting between near identical PCs in the past. It’s really quite frustrating.
So addictive!
Just to make it clear: this was a strike slip earthquake offshore of Northern California and NOT a subduction type event on the Cascadia subduction zone! So no significant tsunami would be expected.
(I am seeing a lot of posts that say otherwise..) 🧪⚒️
Mork 🥰
Love it. Looks like a much better job than I’d manage. Fun social!
Hi Joe, hope the diagnosis and understanding that comes with it allows you some comfort. Thanks for sharing too, it’s likely to be of comfort to someone as well. Wishing you all the best. I’ll look out for you at the Amex. 💙🤍
Gonna drop a few teasers for #AGU24. Mark your calendars!
