My grandmother was staying with us and expecting an important letter, which didn't arrive. My Mum mentioned it to the postman, who said "Oh, I sent that one to be returned to sender, because I knew there was nobody of that name at your address" 😬

You couldn't make it up: Suella Braverman, a former Erasmus student, voted against the UK joining the scheme.
So she can have the opportunity, but others can’t? How ironic...
I don't think I could refuse that puppy anything 🤣😍
Good morning, everyone 😀 It's a mild morning but very hazy due to high Saharan dust levels. Not unusual, as we're not far from Africa as the crow flies. Am staying indoors to avoid it, so any mischief will be of the domestic variety 😆
Have a lovely Tuesday, wherever you all are!
Buenos días, everyone 👋
I have a group online meeting this afternoon, which I'm not looking forward to because it's likely to be tense and could be acrimonious, so am filling the morning with domestic tasks which will at least give me some satisfaction when completed!
Feliz martes, Ben and all 😀
“Farage rarely turns up to do his actual job. Yet he finds time to jet off around the world on his donor’s private plane and trouser half a million quid while families struggle. Reform are not on your side. They’re just in it for themselves”
It’s so obvious, it hurts.

OMFG I had to go and check that this ACTUALLY happened.
Since when does the BBC ever do chyrons with a political party's branding, rather than their own? Not to mention this is during a pre-election campaign purdah.

And put some stones in quite a shallow dish, then add water to near the top of the stones. The pollinators stand on the stones to drink, so they don't fall in from the rim. Keep topping up as necessary. They desperately need to drink in hot weather 🙂

Morning, everyone 🌄 Was out with friends last night so late night and not officially up yet (made coffee and came back to bed). Now trying to find excuses not to do anything I had planned for today, but will have to go food shopping as cupboards are bare! Have a happy week 🙂
Honestly just ban social media until the companies can show they’ve got a grip on this.
I’m increasingly not sure democracy can survive the deepfake era.
This makes the scale of Rayner's alleged error - for which Reform hauled her over the coals - look like monopoly money
"It can't get worse" is what put Trump in power

Thanks to Paul Mullen for this photo.
For the first time in decades, consensus broke at the UN Commission on the Status of Women. The United States cast the lone “no” vote on a document aimed at improving justice systems for women and girls worldwide. Misogyny is the official policy of the US under Trump.
Nothing says I’m Chairman of a Credible Political Party than calling our upcoming UK Council Elections “midterms” as if we’re in USA 🙄
Fun fact — Dr David Bull is a Reform Ex Tory. He trained as a Dr but went into Media in 1995 so “Dr” doing some heavy lifting
“Never trust a Tory” as Farage says😉
Another conspiracy theorist loon standing for Reform. It's rapidly turning into the political equivalent of the Flat Earth Society.

Trump is reported close to a "deal" with himself under which US taxpayers would pay him $10 billion.
I served in multiple communist and authoritarian dictatorships, but I never witnessed corruption on this scale or this blatant.

Morning, buenos días 👋
Beautiful day in my part of Andalucía. I'm about to do my shift at the Casa de la Memoria (our Historical Memory information/research centre), then looking forward to a quiet afternoon with a good book.
Wishing everyone a happy weekend 😀
The grift never ends. Most corrupt regime in history
Yes! I read it a few months ago and my reaction was exactly the same as yours.
Who could’ve predicted this would happen?
Congratulations to you both! 😃
Oh bless him...😢 dear Chonk.
Definitely don't offer him any more coffee. What cheek!
And Farage has not bothered to comment on it, why? It doesn't suit his racist rhetoric about migrants coming to commit crime.
Few explain Trump as well as Scaramucci.
