A noble goal. One I have.... historically not had much luck with ๐Ÿ˜†

Cool, thanks! Foaming TPU is a new material for me, I'll have to try a spool and try it!

That's pretty amazing! Any tips for getting them to bond?

Yoo very exciting, congrats!

A trick someone once showed me for designing light pipes was to make all of the interior surfaces as white and reflective as possible, to reflect as much light out in the direction you want as you can. If you can switch to white PCBs (or paint them!) that might work here too!

picture of a PCB panel on the right and the assembled resistance decade on the left, in the form of a rectangular base plate with connection holes, and three gear-shaped discs with scales on, cone-shaped

A coworker had the idea of making this resistance decade, then somebody decided to make a whole bunch of them and hand them out at different locations (and at customers).

And now the gerber files are available for download! [โ€ฆ]

This build is ridiculous (in the best way)

Hard to tell who this is actually for, isn't it? We joke about a Leica M having ergonomics "like a bar of soap" but this takes that to a whole new level

Ehh reference points for round things is what I have the most trouble with ๐Ÿ˜† Not really sure what the best option is!

Huh, I've never tried to do an operation like it. What is the sketch anchored to? Plane offset from the center of the rod?

Was the force with you?

Oh nice!

Which part did you choose for the PD negotiation stuff?

Are you a net promoter?

Haha ok, cool! I have a growing pile of PLA poop and this seems like a fun use for it!

Wow, great use of scrap! Are you doing anything special to melt it down?

One of those weird things you don't buy the printer for, that end up being extremely useful

Ha, that's a clever comparison!

Wow, that is a magic bean I haven't seen in a long time. Is it still usable?

1 year ago 1 0 0 0

Oh yeah, I think I've seen this on Amazon before. Agree looks promising, I always wonder if the wheel will work though

Roll with it

Maybe still a market opportunity for weird input devices here then ๐Ÿ˜‰

1 year ago 1 0 1 0

Oh interesting! If the wheel can do all those different things it seems like maybe a good option. Did you actually use it?

I think the second interpretation is the best I got, but I also wasn't sure.

1 year ago 1 0 0 0

Same, same. I recommend the books though! It's a very cool universe

Can we elect it to public office yet?

PCB and schematic diff and merge tools for git?!?!?

Great suggestion, thanks!

How do you find meetups or groups that do this? Is there a magic keyword to search for?
