Monstrous. There’s no other way to put it, ghoulish, sadistic.
A report showing the effectiveness of the covid-19 vaccine that was previously delayed by the head of the CDC has now been blocked from being published in the agency’s flagship scientific journal

Conservatives have been able to use the rhetoric of colorblind fairness for decades now to pursue a reactionary, racist project, and their response to the Virginia results shows they’re going to lean on it hard while also supporting Trump’s explicit white supremacy.
My hometown of Nashville -- a blue city which went about two-thirds for Harris-Walz in 2024 -- was gerrymandered by the TN GOP into three different districts all represented by Republicans now, so please get in line to complain about how unfair this all is, Virginia Republicans
Texas redistricts without a vote, Republicans cheer.
Dems in Virginia respond by putting it UP FOR A VOTE OF THE PEOPLE, it passes, Republican cry foul.
Oh well. Good job Virginia!!
The GOP entered this redistricting under the rather childish delusion they were going to gerrymander, and nobody would gerrymander them. In TX, MO, and a half dozen other states, they put their rather naive theory into operation. They sowed the wind, and now they are going to reap the whirlwind
Let it not be lost in the laundry that Trump started an unnecessary war and killed people in Iran including school children for no reason at all.

I don't think RFK, Jr is even aware of where he is, let alone what he is talking about.
Millions of Americans are struggling to afford rent, groceries, and gas in Trump's crumbling economy.
How is Trump responding? By fighting legal challenges to his ballroom and unveiling plans for a 250-foot "Arc de Trump" — which could be financed by millions in taxpayer funds.
Priorities.
This Easter, let kindness lead the way 🐑💚

Trump v Barbara on birthright citizenship being argued today is a very narrow portion of US immigration history. In this podcast which was great fun, I spoke with @isaacsloftus.bsky.social & @lynnprobbins.bsky.social about the larger context. They have thoughtfully provided segments in the notes.

On this weeks War Room podcast, Bannon told conservative lawyer Mike Davis: “We can use what’s happening with these ICE authorities helping out at the airports, we can use this as a test run, as a test case to really perfect ICE’s involvement in the 2026 midterm elections.”
A pile of Anna O. Law's Migrations and the Origins of American Citizenship and one copy propped up on top. The cover is an USA flag with a figure of a man behind it like the stripes are bars

Resegregation was the point of dropping affirmative action, so this checks out. The White Citizen’s Council agenda is winning, it just took a couple of decades.

I wish it could be mine. 😿
I will repost until he's adopted.
Text on image reads: "Faith isn't a way of knowing anything. It's a way of justifying anything. You can't use faith to distinguish true claims from false ones—only claims you've already committed to from ones you haven't. It's not a path to truth. It's a permission slip to stop looking for it." #deconstruction #exvangelical #exchristian #faithtransition #Christianity #religion #epistemology #criticalthinking #atheism #secularism #philosophy
Imagine that everything he promised his base turning out to be a lie. Shocking. Just shocking.
Sickening racism from a sitting senator. The Ogles hate is contagious.
You’re either calling this out or normalizing it. There’s no third option.
