People can always be worse than you think. Cut them off if you have to. Make a new family.

I often feel like I’m in the worst episode of Sliders.

They’re likely saying, “It is no concern of ours how you run your own planet, but if you threaten to extend your violence, this Earth of yours will be reduced to a burned-out cinder….The decision rests with you.”

We deserve this. That’s what we get for tolerating and embracing complete stupidity and cruelty over the last several years.

I got in the wrong field. People aren’t worth it.

Carl Rogers and Abraham Maslow thought that, generally, most people were basically good and wanted to grow and learn. They were wrong.

Same with his voters. And those who sat it out.

Rats. I was really enjoying it. Thanks for doing as much as you did. I’m sorry there was not enough traction. I suppose I can pick up the book where you left off. Let me know if you ever decide to continue it at some point. You’re doing a great job with it. I guess I’ll watch for what you do next.

I’ve been listening to it. I’m only in the first sections. At some point in the middle of the first chapter, I realized I had forgotten that my friend was reading this, and I was just in the story. That is not always an experience I have listening to an audiobook.

My bandwidth has been bad lately, but I want to get into this. I love the book. I think I would prefer installments.
