A neighbour had beautiful Welsh poppies in their borders, which were removed by the new occupants when they moved in.
But ,I had a seedling appear in our border last year which flowered wonderfully - I like to think it's nature saying "Nope!"

Our EU HQ was near Rotterdam, so I got to know Schiphol airport & the train to Rotterdam well!
I liked Amsterdam but I'm afraid I found Rotterdam a bit of a "dormitory city".
Still, had some very nice visits & I quite liked the Netherlands.

Maybe the soil is a little unbalanced. If there's plenty of green leaves, maybe try a sprinkle of bonemeal.
Otherwise they may be overcrowded. After the leaves have died, lift the bulbs carefully & split the clump. Replant with more spacing - add a little fertiliser and fresh soil.
