Your government refusing to prosecute sexual predators, but protect them instead, only makes sense when you realize your government is being run by sexual predators.

Failure to answer this simple, direct question from Elizabeth Warren should disqualify Warsh from becoming Chairman of the Federal Reserve
If he can't display independence from Trump on what is an undisputed issue, nobody should believe he will disagree with Trump when dealing with financial policy
Looks like the Democrats will be making changes at the federal level. Big changes
Like investigating EVERY CABINET MEMBER plus EVERY FINANCIAL TRANSACTION by Kushner
Putting a chokehold on EVERY CENT designated for ICE
And refusing to give EVEN A SINGLE DIME to illegal wars like Iran
BIG CHANGES
If you see how many voted NO, it’s because they have been left out of the conversation for the most part in Virginia. I know these areas. I know there are people who feel left behind. We must win them back. I’m true blue & a Virginian. I want to help. #USDemocracy #BlueCrew

“If Florida Republicans proceed with this illegal scheme, they will only create more prime pick-up opportunities for Democrats, just as they did with Trump’s dummymander in Texas. Maximum warfare, everywhere, all the time.”

The U.S. remains the only industrialized nation without a national paid parental leave policy. Estonia offers more than a year and a half of paid leave to new parents. Sweden provides 480 days of shared parental leave and Finland about 14 months. /end
Graphic showing the length of mandatory paid leave for new mothers in countries worldwide. The average length of that leave is 29 weeks. In the U.S., it's zero. Image credit: New York Times.
The U.S. was a pioneer in labor union organization, but it soon lagged behind Western Europe. While many developed nations established centralized, government-funded leave systems after WWI, the U.S. has historically relied on a patchwork of private employer policies and state-level mandates. /8
Graphic noting "Why Companies Are Quietly Cutting PTO in 2026." Many companies aren't making big announcements but instead making PTO less generous, less flexible, or harder to use. Image credit: Davron.
Because there is no federal statute requiring employers to pay for holiday, vacation or sick leave, companies generally have broad discretion to reduce or even eliminate these benefits. The only restrictions are state regulations, employees’ contractual rights and union agreements. /7
Graphic nothing that "The Myth of 'Unlimited PTO' Is Dying." In companies with unlimited PTO schemes, employees often feel feel unable to take extended breaks for fear of being judged or falling behind. However, these policies protect employers from having to pay for unused vacation days. Image credit: Absentia.
Traditionally, employers provided separate banks for vacation, sick leave and personal days. Starting in the late 1990s, companies began combining days off into a PTO bank to simplify administration and offer workers more flexibility. Tech companies in the mid-2010s popularized “unlimited” PTO. /6

The Family and Medical Leave Act was the first national law to provide 12 weeks of job-protected leave. However, this leave is unpaid and only covers about 60% of the workforce due to employer size and tenure requirements. California became the first state to mandate paid family leave in 2002. /5
President Carter signs the Pregnancy Discrimination Act on Oct. 31, 1978. Before the PDA, women could be fired just for being pregnant. In 1976, the Supreme Court ruled in General Electric v. Gilbert that employers could refuse benefits to pregnant women. A broad coalition of unions and women's rights groups pushed for passage of the PDA. Photo credit: Planned Parenthood.
In the absence of federal law, several states established Temporary Disability Insurance to provide paid medical leave in the 1940s, which some used for prenatal and postnatal care. The Pregnancy Discrimination Act (1978) prohibited employers from treating women unfavorably due to pregnancy. /4
