Thinking beyond, this shows what is possible outside of semiconductors. One could easily extend these systems to solution-processed multilayers for Bragg filters/reflectors, but also other processed films for a number of applications such as batteries, and others with ease.
We showcase it with perovskites, but it doesn’t stop there. The solution processing add-on ROSIE adds the ability to make thin films ( any really) in an automated fashion, drop-casting at the moment, spin coating coming up next.

Man muss sich in diesem Fall den Gegebenheiten optimal anpassen. In Anbetracht der halbwegs realistischen Zeitlinien zur punktuellen Besiedlung des Marses ist es nicht unbedingt sinnvoll Atomkraft komplett abzulehnen. Rückschlüsse auf die Erde sind natürlich Quatsch. Differenzierung schadet niemand
Auf dem Mond macht solare Energieumwandlung Sinn, auf dem Mars wird’s schon schwieriger. Atomkraft sollte nicht generell abgelehnt werden. Diese ist nützlich für Situationen wo Sicherheit kein Problem ist (zb weit weg von allem Lebenden, also zb auf dem Mars mittelfristig).
Auf der Teetasse, damit der beim ziehen nicht so schnell abkühlt und danach den Teebeutel auffängt wenn man schon in der Decke eingemummelt ist und nicht mehr aufstehen mag.

Das mit der Attosekunde, der Dauer eines Herzschlags und dem Alter des Universums kommt grob hin, ja. 10^-18s, 10^0s, 4 x 10^17s. Ich weiß nicht ob das hilft, ich kann mit dem Alter des Universums intuitiv nichts anfangen, aber gut.
Femtosekundenlaser sind inzwischen fast schon „Standard“, man kann sehr gute Systeme mit ~ 10fs kommerziell erstehen, wenn auch nicht immer günstig. Darunter, im Attosekundenbereich, kommt man an die Limits was gerade machbar ist. Zurecht vorletztes Jahr mit dem Nobelpreis ausgezeichnet.

Bin kein Fan der rassistisch anmaßenden Maßnahmen, dennoch: wie schätzen sie dann die Genauigkeit von Gentests wie MyHeritage etc. ein ? Die liefern meiner persönlichen Erfahrung nach tatsächlich sehr akkurate Ergebnisse. Natürlich auf ner anderen Längenskala als für Strafverfolgung nötig, dennoch?

Vapor processing of FA based perovskites is tricky. Material usage/accessible deposition rates can be low because of degradation reactions in the vapor phase, and high vacuum or close space is usually required.

Mostafa then came up with a way to drastically reduce the likelihood of these defects by manipulating the growth of the crystals preferentially along crystal planes that are much less likely to form stacking faults.
By locally looking at the diffraction of these defective regions we could link the formation of these stacking faults to a specific crystal growth direction.

We started out by looking at an aged perovskite film under the TEM and observed that the films start degrading from specific regions which we identified then as stacking faults.
