In a three-year £879 million deal, the British Army Apaches and RAF Chinooks maintenance and support will be undertaken by Boeing Defence UK, supporting over 1,000 UK jobs, the MoD has confirmed.

Two RAF Typhoons were launched from RAF Lossiemouth yesterday to monitor an unidentified Russian aircraft approaching British airspace, but did not need intercepting, the Telegraph is reporting.
