Happiest of Birthdays 🎂🥳

Eventually the eldest daughter went to Birmingham with her husband( a Dub), and they worked to buy a house. Granny and Grandad moved over amd slowly all the siblings followed. My Mam was the only one who returned to Ireland with my Dad and 5 kids , 5 more followed (I'm 2nd youngest)

Grannys in a tenement in Dublin living with her husband, parents, siblings and 2 kids of her own. Grandad on a remote farm in Connemara, 2 more children and Granny was widowed before they met and had 6 more to my knowledge, isn't it wonderful?

Had a gander on the 1926 census my granny is 21 married to her first husband with 2 kids. Grandad (her second husband) is still on a farm in a remote part of Galway minding his widowed father and 11 year old sister. Never met Granny and Grandad died when I was 4. Great to get this info.
