Working on a baseball CBA piece. I don’t love the salary cap but I think the issue is less about parity/competitiveness and more about keeping small market teams from becoming big city farm systems.

It’s important for small market fans to feel like they won’t just get gutted when rookie deals end.

I might like watching football or basketball more, but I don’t think any sport builds anticipation for the start of its own season quite like baseball.
