Intro to observational astronomy: the only intro course I’ve taken that’s a 4000-level course. The math isn’t hard, but it’s a course in how physics will tell you to fuck off at every opportunity. I made a diagram to help me understand sources of pain.

In a compulsory research class I stood before undergrads who clearly didn't want to be there, nor saw the need for it. I began class by asking them to imagine that the next professional they sought help from didn't think researching best practice really mattered. They got my point.

My kid will watch Minecraft videos in any language because he doesn’t care about the words. W/E, hearing the cadence of language helps passively gain intuition for language, and I can study.
Except today he found a French video & I’m bilingual. I’m now learning vocab instead of CCDs 😭🤦🏻‍♀️

And generally maybe don’t criticize others for mispronouncing words if it’s a genuine mistake. Love, someone with sensory processing challenges.
