In Go Wayback! a new map is generated for you to explore every time you play.

To create these maps, we use our in-house machine learning technology to empower our designers to create environments that look and feel natural.

I don't understand Prologue's game demo at all despite spending hours with it over the weekend, but it does involve a lot of slow wandering around in the woods, which is the best thing to do in video games

After watching @zaknafeintv.bsky.social's first look & thoughtful review of our Go Wayback! demo, I reached out to chat about his feedback & our bigger plans at @ppsocials.bsky.social

We sat down last week and had a great conversation, and I've included some of the highlights below <3

We've a small group on our community Discord that gets the nightly build of Go Wayback!

Since they have access to the debug controls, they enjoy testing the limits of our systems...

Needless to say, I'm very proud of what they have accomplished over the last year, and can't wait to see what they can do this year with our community's help and feedback <3

Here's an updated look at the WIP cliff system from the same POV in Go Wayback!: the first from the public demo, and the second from our dev build, both of which I played today.

It still amazes me how quickly the guided generation system allows our team to iterate on the environment of our worlds.

The demo grants access to every survival system in the game, rotates through four hand-picked maps, and sets no time limit per round nor cap on deaths per session. We want players to explore, experiment, and tell us what works, and what doesn’t.

We’re looking forward to your stories, feedback, and bug reports, which will allow us to shape Go Wayback! together over the coming months, before early access launch later this summer.

We now have a live demo of Go Wayback in players’ hands! Sharing our games during early development is a founding principle of our studio and allows the @ppsocials.bsky.social team to iterate on core systems with player input early on.

The progress the Go Wayback! Team has made on guided generation for the river system, in just a few months, has been nothing short of amazing!

In these two shots, the improvement is clear, 1st from February & 2nd from last week. Excited to see how our team can leverage this over the coming year!
