Oh, there's a chance alright. Execs on both sides have said there's a chance this doesn't meet regulatory approval. I gather that the odds are not exceptionally high, but...there absolutely is a chance!

I know Los Angeles/Hollywood is associated with glitz, glamor, and ultra-rich celebrities...but as somebody who is not drawn to the first two items and is not even *close* to that third item, I can confirm, this really is a blue-collar town.

Yyyyup. The Mexican Spanish dub (<-----labeled as such to differentiate it from the European Spanish dub) is not only how Mexico got DBZ, it's how most of South America got it. So both the show and the dub actors are pretty legendary.

The *sound* is bad enough, never mind the temperatures that it raises and the air that it makes more toxic--and for *what*? To help put more people out of work?

As somebody who just had a Star Wars project come out, trust me, I feel your pain!

(For reference, Ben's referencing Sam Witwer as Maul.)

That's not just Ben being nice, this is an *accurate* statement. How accurate? Witwer is one of the few people on Earth who actually *out-geeked* Dave Freaking Filoni.

It's always bus internet and DMV internet that lets me down.

Against a black background, Maul's black-and-red face glares straight ahead with narrowed, black-and-yellow eyes. Maul holds a pulsating red lightsaber horizontally in front of his mouth. In the left half of the frame, text reads, "Star Wars--Maul: Shadow Lord," with a raging inferno of flames seen behind the text.

Today marks the debut of "Star Wars--Maul: Shadow Lord," which I had the honor of performing the Audio Description for. If you like your Star Wars dark and gritty, with hints of moral ambiguity and moral relativism, this show is for you!

I should preface, given today’s date: no, this is *not* an β€œApril Fool’s Day”-thing.

OpenAI funding fears hit memory chip prices Spending cuts at OpenAI have hit memory chip prices as fears grow about the tech company’s ability to fund its expansion.

Good news! OpenAI is canceling so many large purchase orders and datacenter expansions that the global price of RAM is dropping.

Sharing purely for reference: the account associated with this is @attie.ai, and user restriction functions (e.g. the Block button) work as normal.

Do with that what you will!

You know what I'll do with that? Re-post it.

Now look, I'm certainly not *criticizing* him, I think that level of devotion to a role is admirable. The point is, though, that's a *role,* a *fictional person,* not something that can be realistically achieved and maintained while still being healthy.

And even *with* all that studio funding, past a certain point, looking that ripped requires you to do ridiculously unhealthy things. As someone else mentioned, Sanji's actor didn't eat and drank little to no water before he filmed his shirtless scene. And here's him between takes:

Arc Raiders Replacing AI-Generated Voices With Human Actors Embark's CEO says 'most' of the in-game voice lines are now recorded by real actors

On the one hand, it's unfortunate that the game is still using AI. But on the other hand? Legitimate kudos for re-recording most of the AI with actual voice actors and flat-out admitting that they're better!

Congratulations to Blizzard for winning the first-ever "Best Accessible Audio Design" award, at the Game Audio Network Guild Awards last night! All the nominees should be so proud of the audio accessibility they've created, but Diablo IV: Vessel Hatred deserves this win!

Unions band together to launch new game industry conference 'by workers, for workers'

Well, sure, but how are your lock-picking abilities?

I'd add a bonus tidbit: in some cases (Sonic, at least), that list includes properties that were union, went non-union, and then later in time went back to being union again.

Point being: Capcom, it's not too late, you can change your mind.

Hah hah. You know the ironic thing? This gif is from Puyo Puyo Tetris, a non-union game for Sega.

A non-union game that WENT UNION, along with, as far as I know, ALL of Sega's properties.

Puyo Puyo: union
Yakuza: union
Persona: union
Sonic: union

Thank you, Sega! πŸ’™

Absolutely, still *plenty* of time to change their minds!

Just reread it, the *previous* game was a union game, not this one.

But still!

a man in a suit and tie says just saying in front of a map Alt: Colin Jost, dressed in a suit and sitting at the "Weekend Update" desk of SNL in front of a world map, holds his hands up semi-defensively. Block-like, white meme text reads out what he says to the camera: "Just saying."

And by the way, Capcom *has* done union video games before, with both SAG-AFTRA and ACTRA (the Canadian union). Add that to the pile of reasons that I really, really, *really* have a tough time believing that they can't go union.
