The Democrats fast tracked every single one of these nominees except Hegseth (and that is only because a single Democrat, Chris Murphy, held up the nomination).

Pancreatic cancer usually kills within a year or two of diagnosis. In this trial, nearly all 8 responders are still alive six years later. The 5-year survival rate is usually only around 12%. We should be increasing federal funding for mRNA research, not cutting it.
I feel very confident that God loves humans more than statues.
Other humans should, too.
I'm not joking when I say mRNA technology is more important than "AI" and it's a tragedy we're throwing billions into one while our government is aggressively defunding the other.
Bullying our legislature into undoing progress every budget season isn't leadership.
"No funds for you unless you do what I want" sounds awfully familiar.
With climate disasters worsening and Trump's illegal war raising the cost of fossil fuels, we can't afford for Kathy to keep acting like Trump.
3. Call Senate and Assembly Leaders, including your own reps. Tell them how important kt is for our environment, health, and energy costs to implement our climate law instead of delaying it or rolling it back.
We don't have time for cowardice or capitulation to the fossil fuel industry.
2. Email Leadership in the State Senate and Assembly (it's drafted and takes appx 30 seconds):

1. Call Gov. Hochul and tell her that implementing our climate cannot wait, and that it is corporate greed, not addressing the climate crisis, raising our bills:
act.nyrenews.org/call-governo...
URGENT ask for folks in NY π§΅:
Gov. Hochul is once again holding the state budget hostage until she gets what she wants. And what she wants is to weaken our climate laws so she wont be breaking the law by failing to implement the Climate Leadership and Communities Protection Act.
What you can do:
Fear-based, reactionary decisions and racism will not create safety.
There are many historical examples. When we let hate and fear rule us, we create oppression, violence, and lasting social harm.
We eventually identify discrete injustices and slowly undo them, but never seem to learn the lesson.
The DOJ being staffed by lackeys isn't a great development for our democracy.
This is wonderful.
I am very proud to say that I'm a Courage Candidate!
That means, among other things, I am ready to impeach Trump on Day 1 of my term. We can't have a democracy without accountability.
The folks at @couragefordemocracy.com are doing amazing work. I'm honored to have their support.
There is some potential in the technology, especially non-generative ai.
We shouldn't fear progress, but we must not be reckless either.
It is irresponsible to roll out AI without guardrails (ethical, economic, environmental, etc.)
(I'm not taking corporate pac $, please consider donating.)
AI regulations are an urgent, common sense need.
We have seen the dangers unregulated LLMs pose for the environment, the economy, artists (mass theft is distinct from losing jobs!), mental health, learning, children, etc.
It is obvious that we need protections in place.

Context:
Republicans voting no on #FISA outnumbered Dems voting yes!
The 4 feckless Dems voting to enable a Trump surveillance state despite a troubling letter from @wyden.senate.gov:
Gottheimer, Golden, Perez, and...
Yes, of course it's @tomsuozzi.bsky.social.
Please give me money to replace that man.
If everyone got a receipt for their taxes breaking it down like this, I think our country would look totally different
NY apologizes.
We can't replace Schumer or Gillibrand this year, but we *can* replace Tom Suozzi, who would definitely be on this list if it were a House vote.
I'm challenging him in the June Primary. Please consider donating to my campaign.
A reminder of the goodness some humans do in these god awful times.
"The resolve to ignore the views of Democratic voters on Israel erodes the Democratic base, with party leaders carrying on as though moral concerns are not worth taking very seriously... behavior at the top of the DNC indicates that decision-makers have risen to their level of moral incompetence."
Power move.
"[O]ur terror can ... become a kind of narcissism if we allow visions of our own destruction to eclipse the realities other people are already enduring."
this is why thereβs been mass revolt and opposition to data centers being built in communities. it is genuinely a health hazard to live this close to something emitting this much sound. these need to stop being built

"US-Israeli attacks [on Iran] have killed around 2,000 people β including hundreds of children β and destroyed tens of thousands of civilian structures, from residential buildings to universities to medical facilities. [Hegseth] ... gutted offices tasked with working to limit civilian casualties."
i feel bad for our country but this is tremendous content
...for the next book I should read, of course.
Into the wood chipper is certainly one idea.
Only fun stunts that might help people.
(Thanks!)
