I've heard of him, but don't know much. He's the guy predicting when It Happens, right? He's like a nurse or something?

Facebook commenter: A few other humanitarian platforms are having issues in the last few days. Gee, it's almost like someone doesn't want us to know the truth.
There's such an appetite for assigning malicious intent, even without evidence. There are dozens of comments just like this under AltNPS's post.
Anecdotally, servers are also down for my washer-dryer app, but I don't think the deep state is behind my soggy laundry.
Probably.
Three consecutive comments under the Alt National Park Service's post about the Bluesky outage. "Someone" messing with Alt National Park Service? They're working on purging and silencing leftist voices again. You and every other page that stands against this administration are experiencing this. Myself, HCR especially are victims. It's a concerted effort to silence us.
So, how was everyone's Bluesky outage? I did some cleaning, went for a nice walk, and watched people on Facebook leap directly to conspiracy theories about "someone" and "they."
I don't love that such a large chunk of people are so willing to see conspiracy in every shadow.
He's also liking every single one of his own comments
We've gotten so far from "satanists aren't scary" so fast lmao
Satanism -> Tartaria -> Hollow Earth -> Subterranean Jews (???) -> The Matrix?
You gotta pick one conspiracy, brother.
Yup! Most of the AltGov are pretty harmless, but AltNPS is a blatant engagement farm.
A close-up of the AI-generated Biden. His hand is holding an ice cream cone and has six fingers.
Lo, you shall know Him by his jacked-up fingers, and he shall be the savior of man.
Facebook user: Just a hypothetical for you out there. What would the public say if Biden said he was Jesus? [Attached is an AI-generated pic of Joe Biden as Jesus Christ]
I found exactly ONE example of an AI-generated Biden Jesus, on a Facebook post with four likes, from a guy who seems like a Democrat.
Alt National Park Service: Some AI-generated images of Biden depicted as Jesus have been circulating. These were created by MAGA supporters in an attempt to justify/normalize the post by Trump.
I'm open to being proven wrong here, but I can't find these alleged images anywhere. It doesn't help that this post:
1. Doesn't provide an example of these pics
2. Doesn't say WHERE the pics are circulating
3. Doesn't provide evidence that they're a MAGA psyop
And as I've said before, I don't want to hear a goddamn thing from AltNPS about Alex Pretti or Renee Good.
Alt National Park Service: The Trump administration is still trying to sell the Forest Service “reorganization” as a good thing. The U.S. Forest Service Facebook made a video and just posted it. Something tells us the 10,000+ comments on every post they make about this isn’t sitting well. Keep making Pretti Good trouble!
The invocation of the murders of Renee Good and Alex Pretti through the "Pretti Good trouble" line doesn't sit well with me, especially when it's just tacked onto the end of a completely unrelated topic.
Good and Pretti weren't killed by rogue Forest Service agents. They were killed by ICE.
To anyone still following AltNPS: it's clearer than ever that *they are laughing at you*. They don't respect you, and are using you to farm engagement.
Get out from under these grifters. You deserve better.
Alt National Park Service: look dangerous. Neither is real. If you see a suspicious clip going viral from an account you’ve never heard of, slow down before you share it. Take a moment and verify. Find someone who was actually there. They’re manufacturing a false reality and counting on people to spread it for them.
Dude, the AUDACITY of AltNPS to complain about OTHER people "manufacturing a false reality and counting on people to spread it for them." That's their whole business model!
I focus on AltNPS here, but I'm fascinated with conspiracy thinking more broadly, and this is an incredible look at how we on the left are not immune to conspiracy theories.
Gripping stuff, highly recommend.
I'll take those odds.
I don't know what to say, except that this is EMBARRASSING.
But this is what AltNPS does: steal from others, and move on before anyone notices. They've done it for months, and it's gotten them 4 million followers and god only knows how many t-shirt sales.
Hatch: Late Tuesday afternoon, with the subtlety of a wrecking ball and the morality of a foreclosure notice, the Trump administration announced the most devastating attack on the U.S. Forest Service in the agency’s 121-year history. Not a budget cut. Not a policy shift. Not a “reorganization.” An execution.
AltNPS: Trump just ordered the most devastating dismantling of the US Forest Service in 121 years. The outdoor brands that built their entire business on public lands haven't said a word. It's time to change that.
AltNPS: This isn't a reorganization. It's a demolition. On March 31, 2026, the Trump administration announced the largest forced purge of a federal land management agency in American history.
AltNPS tries their usual tactic of changing a couple words here and there, but come on.
Pattiz says "execution," AltNPS calls it a "demolition." Pattiz says it's a "devastating attack," AltNPS says it's a "devastating dismantling." This is just Pattiz's article with the serial number filed off.
Hatch: They’re ripping the headquarters out of Washington and shipping it to Salt Lake City, Utah — the beating heart of the anti-public-lands movement in America. They’re shuttering every single one of the ten regional offices that have governed this agency since Gifford Pinchot built the system over a century ago — and with them, the career professionals who spent entire lifetimes earning the expertise and the authority to push back when politicians came calling with bad ideas and worse motives. They’re destroying
AltNPS: HQ Ripped Out of DC The Forest Service headquarters is being uprooted and shipped to Salt Lake City. That's the heart of the anti-public-lands movement. Utah politicians have spent millions suing to take federal forests away from you.
I'm not kidding about these being the EXACT same phrases. "The beating heart of the anti-public-lands movement?" I'm sure that's a coincidence.
Hatch: Of 328 BLM positions ordered to relocate, 287 employees left the agency. Only 41 moved at all — scattered across various western offices. And only three — three human beings — actually relocated to the new “headquarters” in Grand Junction. The agency lost 87% of its Washington-based workforce. Decades of institutional knowledge, scientific expertise, and legal acumen walked out the door and never came back. That wasn’t an accident. That was the plan. And the plan worked so well they’re doing it again at twenty times the scale.
AltNPS: When Trump moved BLM in his first term, 87% of staff left rather than relocate. That agency never recovered. This is the same playbook at 20 times the scale.
Most of saveusfs.org seems to be taken directly from Pattiz's article, with the same phrases often pasted verbatim onto AltNPS's new website.
saveusfs.org, launched on April 6th, contains multiple examples of identical or near-identical phrasing to this article by Jim Pattiz in Hatch, published just four days earlier on April 2nd.
Let's look at some examples.
AltNPS has been focused on the threat to the US Forest Service this week, and even launched a website in an effort to pressure brands to speak out. And that's great! There's just one problem.
They plagiarized the whole thing.
Alt National Park Service: SaveUSFS.org is live. This week we’re going after six major outdoor brands. Companies that have spoken out for public lands before. Companies that built their whole identity around wild places. We need them to speak out again. The US Forest Service is being dismantled. Most of the outdoor industry has gone completely quiet. Right now, Patagonia is the only one saying anything. That’s not good enough.
Don't worry, they're milking that for engagement too!
And, as always:
A quick personal note: last month was the one year anniversary of my silly, obsessive little account.
Thank you for being here, everyone. And thank you for pushing back against grifters like AltNPS.
I mean, this is EXTREMELY cynical behavior. And that's without getting into their truly egregious stuff, like claiming to know the identity of Alex Pretti's killer before the news ever broke.
Respectfully, the sheer amount of plagiarism and LARPing from AltNPS (alongside their frequent merch updates on FB) prevent me from seeing them as earnest. I think they're very straightforwardly an engagement farm, with few goals beyond clicks and attention.
Alt National Park Service: We're glad it's TACO Tuesday! 🌮
It's good to see the Alt National Park Service taking the day's events so seriously.
Thank you! I saw that Patagonia's FB post opened by saying that they "commented last week" about the issue, but I was having trouble finding WHERE they commented. I guess it was on LinkedIn?
And to get cynical for a second, I wonder how much the higher engagement is explained by AltNPS railing against catching a community standards violation from Facebook.
There's nothing Facebook users like more than complaining about Facebook.
Alt National Park Service on Facebook: We got hit with a community standards violation for posting links asking you to contact businesses about the Forest Service dismantling. But it worked Patagonia listened. Because of the issue on FB, we’re building a dedicated website for that kind of action. We’re hoping to have it live by Monday!
AltNPS's Facebook post announcing their new "SaveUSFS" website got 200k likes, which is more than double their usual rate, even for their more successful posts.
I'm expecting this to be their main thing for a while. It's the perfect combo of low effort and high engagement.
