For a long time, my choice was The Usual Suspects, but well, you know.

This was actually the source of an excellent essay question in a Roman history class. "How would a people know when they were conquered? Give examples of material culture, societal change, etc..."
Oh man, I forgot Mox did a 12 Rounds. That is wild that it has entirely vanished from my consciousness
Robocop. At 3 or 4. Wasn't until I was much older that I realized why That 70s Show used to scare the crap outta me
The AKI video games convinced me so many death moves were common transitions
This, X-Wing, and TIE Fighter had us eating well in the 90s.
I blame the issue of Game Informer that spotlighted the Genesis game and the universe. I should sue for lost wages
My dad went away on a work trip when I was like 3 and came back with Magnus. I have a full shelf of almost every incarnation of that dude now
Holy shit this really sounds fantastic.
The strategic campaign thing sounds like what I was trying to work together for the Aurigan Reach stuff and I'm excited to see it as an actual project and not "I swear I'll work on it!"
The eventual Mech Commander book is going to be insane
I'm not jealous I'm not jealous
Individual Guard Units (like Gaunt's Ghosts) are pretty good, and I love the Inquisitors. Plus all great outfits
I'm basic and blue is my favorite color but I've long been sweet on Salamanders.
You might want to check out Necrons too - the Infinite and the Divine novel made me a huge fan
Also, Indigo stuff is amazing, legit love it, but sorry Taco Shark is the best thing you've done but a country mile. S tier
Taco Shark Franchisee
Was taking oldest to museum for the first time, realized he was nervous. "I don't want the dinosaurs to eat me." "Don't worry, they're all just skeletons! They're extinct!" Instant tears: "they're dead?!!!"
Welp.
Looking forward to season 2 episode "Ezra is Snoke"
I used to be a Classicist and my oldest got very excited about a Roblox game where you played as an Ancient Roman. Turns out it was a mini fascist factory and we got to have that talk!
Setting us up for Hangman winning, right? Right??
And she might get bored and leave by then!
Would that I could tell high school me that everything you found weird or confusing about MGS2 will actually be the most prescient vision of the future in media
god damnit my finances are ruined
Mandalorians: He can talk, he can talk, he can talk, he can talk.
Grogu: ๐ถI can SIIIIIIIINNNNNNGGGG ๐ถ
Euripides is just Homer fanfic
I think there's a certain point where they get so rich and so famous they assume they're perfect (and success validated them). Getting them to change their mind is like an ego death
Nero finally got to be a major artistic influencer
One of my seven year old's best friends passed away this morning, fucking 7. To read all of this today was the right amount of crying and laughing that I needed. Thank you, you guys, you were there when I needed y'all.
Were this a prestige drama, it'd all be amazingly fascinating
If I told high school me that MGS2 was an entirely correct prediction of the future, he'd think I'd gone mad
This is an excellent analogy, because my recollection from grade school is that the pen on the right looks fun and exciting, and then you play with it for a few minutes and realize it's not actually useful for anything and in fact makes some tasks more cumbersome, and never think about it again.
Fisto was my He-Man before I had He-Man and remained his top buddy. The best thing about MOTU is "here's a single gimmick godspeed"
