Exclusive: Meta to start capturing employee mouse movements, keystrokes for AI training data Meta is installing new tracking software on U.S.-based employees’ computers to capture mouse movements, clicks and keystrokes for use in training its ‌artificial-intelligence models, part of a broad ...

Meta will begin keystroke logging US employees at work -- complete with mouse movements and periodic screenshots -- to train better AI agents.

This comes after Boz posted about a future in which AI will "primarily do the work" at meta.

Learning to use mail merge was one of my personal triumphs as a temp in the early 2000s. Pretty much wore it as a badge of honour.

Without stating your age post a film that was released when you turned 18.

Not a stellar year so I've gone with the campest option.

Last year was a hard one, but in the end my tax spreadsheet tells me I didn't do terribly badly.

Kind of need the global insecurity to naff off so that this year is equally not-terrible.

They are among the least annoying magicians to be fair

Hard agree. I find magic annoying and magicians smug and tedious.

Emily's goes long again for Jane Tomlinson Appeal Help Emily Macaulay raise money to support Jane Tomlinson Appeal

I’m on a train to Bath. I’m going to get off there and run back to Bristol 😬🤞

Today is the first proper day of my training to run an ultramarathon in September and so launches my fundraising effort for this year.

The ‘Sovereign AI Fund’, which invests UK taxpayers’ money, announced its first portfolio of 6 companies .

Some of them seem to train AI on copyrighted work without a licence.

UK taxpayer money should not go to AI companies that exploit creatives.

Suspect this won't go down well

Also, how is the Pope like Mariah Carey - the Pope doesn't think about Trump, Mariah didn't know who JLo was. This may be a bit niche.

This is really not going to help our vaccine coverage - 'bring your kid for their jabs and the border agency will turn up at your door'
I was unaware of this until 5 mins ago.
No data sharing opt-outs apply.
We really need to object to and reverse this.

The 2 times I've been through the system were before 1 Apr and I didn't actually realise you had to do it on exit as well as entry as both airports weren't using it for exit at all. Tenerife was chaos but not terribly slow, Munich very speedy.

In London again, in the glorious sunshine. Crowds of folk happily queuing for Madame Tussauds. People strolling past trees in full blossom. Polite young men letting me off the bus in front of them. Truly, a city on the brink.

I'm not fussed about football but I'm sad for everyone who is and will either boycott the WC and miss it all, or watch while feeling deeply conflicted. No judgement either way, just seems like it will be very hard to enjoy 😕
