I've been working! Slowly, but surely, Dahlia's stage is being set. I've roughly got the first three levels put together along with most of the basic gameplay features
Still a lot of work to do, but I'm pretty happy with what I've got right now!!

(2/2) As for who she is, she's been raised in a forest and is the "ruler" of its inhabitants. More to the point, she can speak with and is respected by her subjects (the animals of her forest)
But I wonder if calling her "Druid" is going to lead the player to have slightly different expectations
(1/2) Kinda wondering if "Dahlia the Druid" is still a fitting title for the game; the character's gone through some growing pains, but at this point her fighting style has been reduced to just simple archery and cane-fighting, with *some* occasional limited access to elemental abilities

You know, it might be that the first thing I always focus on is the character's face, so the first thing I'll process is whatever stands out from the top. Consider I also pointed out Megu's ribbons on ZAGA's post, again, a feature present near her face

... However, outside of in-universe lore, the *real life* reason I had for dressing her up that way... Actually started with the villain; an undying witch named Rafflesia, who was modeled after said plant. I decided it was only appropriate for the heroine to also be clothed based on her plant name
Good question! It's tradition for the Gardenians to wear leafy/floral themed outfits, where childrens' clothes have more simple designs, while teens will begin to design their own garments
It's also common for Gardenian girls to be named after a flower, and for them to design their outfit thusly 😉
