This exactly. In Canada a lot of disabled people are considering medically assisted dying simply because it sucks so much to try to live in an inaccessible world on the meager income we get. We need accessibility and a livable income so we don't feel pressured to unalive ourselves like that.

Because disability support does not give us enough money to get by, and being forced into poverty like that is absolutely bloody miserable. We need livable income, affordable housing, accessibility... so many things that should be a bigger priority than helping people die.

I am fine with people being allowed to choose death when they're genuinely done living, but medically assisted dying shouldn't be expanded UNTIL the system has adequate supports for the disabled. I know so many fellow disabled folks here in Canada who have looked into it simply because (continued)

Yesterday I learned the Ancient Art of Darning Socks. I spent too much time making these socks to just let hungry moths take them from me. Also no sign of any moths since the move, so I think I managed not to bring them with me!

A few decades ago it was a lot more common for trans folks to just switch to an alternate gendered version of their given name, or one that started with the same letter, but nowadays it's quite rare, yeah.

I found a thing on Reddit to fix the invalid handle thing. Basically you just go to Settings and "Change Handle" but re-enter your handle as it is.
