A society that has millionaires and on-the-breadline poverty at the same time, is a society that has failed.

The UK isn't working.

It's time to change.

It's time to be independent.

For Scotland this may be hypothetical.

- SNP majority 2026 Holyrood
- Referendum 2027 (UK Gov realising it can't spit on democracy)
- YES vote
- Exit negotiations begin
- No need to stand for election to Westminster in 2028

There is an element of point missing going on. I posted it because the increasing alignment of Yes voting to Indy party voting is really interesting, but folks are focusing on the Yes line, and even on why Alba's supposed increased polling numbers aren't shown. *sigh*

I posted this on my Yes page and I'm getting some pushback over the indy vote apparently declining. Is there a source for the data?

What this shows more than anything is the extent to which the financial crash broke the world.

It can be something we choose — together.

From clean energy to caring for one another, we already have the ideas and the talent.
What we lack is the power to put them fully into practice.

It’s about growing into the country we already know we can be.

Which is only nation in the UK that’s free to leave the Union?
Which nation can refuse to grant permission to hold a referendum?
Find the answer and you've found where all the power lies in the 'union of equals'

So, Starmer is going to be visiting Scotland more often in the months leading up to GE2026. Maybe the media could get off their arses and ask him these questions.

Scotland is literally a powerhouse, producing nearly half the UK's renewable energy and sending £billions of our power to the south of England. Yet we pay the highest energy bills in Europe. It could have been different. It still could be. #IndependenceIsNormal

Yes Scotland, you too could have a government as uninspiring and cruel as England's.

And ScotGov spends a significant proportion of its block grant mitigating the worst effects of Westminster austerity.

"Has done everything it can to protect us..." would be fairer, follwed by "and the only way it can do more is with independence."

We have a precedent in the UK for appeasing the far right.
It didn't turn out well. It never does.

Fight. Expose the lies.

Oh, and Scotland? This is not who we are. GTFO already.

We've always said that the bigger risk is not re-gaining independence - it's staying in a bankrupt union.

Worth noting: polls still weight results to match the 2014 indyref outcome. That artificially drags Yes down. The raw, unweighted numbers consistently show support for independence several points higher than what’s reported.

It may be “Your Party” — but is it Scotland’s?

We don’t yet know where Jeremy Corbyn’s new party stands on Scottish independence. Until that’s clear, half the country — those who want to leave the UK — don’t know if this is a party for them.

We wish the project well. But Scotland deserves clarity.

To be clear, since 1999 we have our own parliament again, but its powers are limited and it can be overruled by the UK parliament whenever they think it has stepped out of line.

The UK is a union of the kingdoms of England and Scotland. Neither nation gave up their nationhood. But Scotland gave up its parliament. The result is that England, with a far larger population, controls parliament. And so, Scotland is sidelined, and does not have the power to decide its own future.

Independence isn’t some abstract ideal—it’s the tool we need to tackle real issues like the NHS, economy, and energy bills.

It’s not independence OR public services—it’s independence FOR public services.

Let’s connect the dots between what matters now and how we gain the power to change it.

Don't get me wrong. I'll vote for them. They are the political arm of independence and they're the only only route to get there.

But it's not unreasonable to ask for a plan to achieve the number one objective.
