Some incredible stuff here. Folk horror Mrs Tiggywinkle. Gary Glitter doing some actual paedoing. A terrifically intricate game loosely Star Wars / Queen Victoria themed testing how many mistakes each kid would make playing Bach on the violin.

It's wild how many hours I've spent in VR, and how many different VR games I've played, and yet fucking about in front of a mirror in L.A. Noire remains the absolute pinnacle of my experience with the technology.
Can't get over how well this single image condenses the experience of playing a Hideo Kojima game.

Ideally yes if there’s time before it disappears from the biggest screen available to you. It (sensibly) elides almost all of the science-y problem solving, which is the biggest pleasure for me, so book first and film second is perfect. The trailer spoils a big reveal in the book.

Not staged, we had this happen with our rental car last year while on vacation. I hope it’s a trend and not just one person.

Was a temp at Currys 2009. They had three screens showing Harry Potter. Composite, Scart and HDMI. Underneath was Basic, Silver and Gold HDMI cables. Mis-selling at its finest.

Letterboxd screenshot Star Trek Into Darkness (2013) Watched by Branson Reese 28 Apr 2022 Abrams isn't a man so much as he's an avatar of cultural entropy. If you make something popular enough eventually you will die or sell it off and and a person in thick rimmed glasses whose main artistic vision is that he loves to have meetings will take it and sandblast it until it's nothing. I hate to see this happen here but maybe it's good that this happened. Maybe every franchise should collapse into a version of itself that makes shareholders nod and shake each others' hands. We should learn to speak in a language that rich people who don't dream can't comprehend.
