The cover of my book REFUSE TO BE DONE

The cover of my book REFUSE TO BE DONE

I just found out that REFUSE TO BE DONE is going into its 8th printing! I've heard so many stories from writers whose projects have been helped along by this little yellow book over the past three years. Nothing makes me happier!

With the help of the Sandy Hook families, The Onion has reached a long-awaited deal to take over InfoWars.

We've enlisted the help of @timheidecker.bsky.social, who will be InfoWars' Creative Director.

Please stand by for more.

Not the first to complain about this, but it is truly degrading the way these tech bastards consistently try to corrupt and recontextualize literature like Tolkien's to support their pro-conquest, anti-freedom, anti-poetry environment-ravaging agenda

When the time comes to launch another book out into the world, those reviews might help me find it a good home & it might help an ideal reader decide to give it a shot & be excited for the next one

(I say this with the backlog of reviews I've yet to write for other writers. Self-guilt is valid)

Hey, periodic reminder, if you enjoyed Boxcutters or Feast of the Pale Leviathan, it'd be a great honor and kindness if you left a write-up on a book review site

I'm not actively promoting the books right now, but they're out there being found and read and every single good review helps a lot

I’ve known Palantir was evil for a long time, but reading their technological republic statement, when combined with the fact that Thiel is going around giving speeches on the Antichrist and allying himself with rapture theologians… Palantir is an apocalyptic death cult with god-like technology.

Busiest week at Evening House to date!!!

Had a great time afterwards with Amanda, @deeholloway.bsky.social, Brandon & @casella.bsky.social at my new favorite bar in Buffalo

Feeling good (and buzzed) ✌️

As with many 'everything is capitalism' perceptions, the marketplace of ideas is a really limited metaphor.

I'm thinking, exploring, refining my sense of meaning and the self; I'm not, you know, deciding which jar of pasta sauce I should buy

Gonna try to make this a regular feature, too, where I share what I've been reading, listening to, and watching.

So much fun talking to @ivygrimes.bsky.social about food, voices, and spiders. Thank you for having me 🫶🌠 And definitely read Ivy's "The Cellar Below the Cellar", which is twisting and prodding my mind around family, community lore, and faith, like nothing else 🖤

I’m proud of my work, but I write some hard to market fiction in multiple genres (also hard to market), often in short story form (also also hard to market), in a generally hard to market art form lol

Got hit this morning with one of those publishing scam emails that looks like it’s from a real, discoverable person that is just compliments about my book + a simple follow-up question

Gotta admire the economics of a long con targeting niche indie fiction writers, famous for their disposable income

Fantastic news 🫡

Since Boxcutters and Feast released, haven’t gotten much writing done. The bookstore + getting laid off extended the funk, but I finished one recently + already starting on another

I know my next larger project, but just not done marinating my spirit or stylistically limber enough yet to run it up
