My friend Mary Espejo captured my guest appearance padding in yesterday’s Kamehameha CC Business Races. I’m the one in the blue shirt. My goal was to not drop the paddle or flip the canoe over. Mission accomplished! Thanks to the Roof 2 Tank crew for risking disaster to have me join them!

The forecast models now suggest that lava fountaining episode 45 will occur sometime between April 21, andApril 26. Strong glow, & frequent flames, continue to be visible at the south vent over the past day.

This is the current view of Iwalani Street from Kawailani Street in Hilo. The increased traffic volume is due to the ongoing road paving project on nearby HaiHai Street. Expect delays in this area and consider alternative routes.
