It was great to join the Department for Business and Trade in Bradford, to speak to businesses who are helping tell our region's story to the world.

Good news for our railways 🚆

Northern Rail's new Yorkshire Flyer service means there's now a fast train from Leeds to Sheffield every 30 minutes, adding 30,000 extra seats a week to the line.

This a great step towards delivering the railways that our passengers deserve.

Northern Powerhouse Rail will invest billions into the North, to ensure our railways get the long overdue improvements passengers deserve.

Today, with the Secretary of State for Transport, Heidi Alexander, we signed on the dotted line to unlock this funding and get our railways back on track.
