I'll bet my mortgage he doesn't read any of the words in red.

It's incredibly exhausting to live in an entire unit of a US History course in the year 2072
I have often heard it said they wanted to be what ND was to Catholics or BYU to Mormons. Maybe a misspeak, maybe not ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ *throws up in my mouth after defending Liberty*
But yeah, for the generation ahead of mine (Gen X), Catholicsm was to be avoided. Look at the anti-Catholic rhetoric towards JFK.
One of these men gets paid an exorbitant amount of money to be a gimmick in his sport. The other guy owns the Savannah Bananas.
Or did they clap when the capsule landed?
Had to zoom in to see what "Oilers" Scott went to. Apparently the Phillips Petroleum exhibition team. Guys like us are old enough to remember the exhibition games vs. Marathon Oil.
Malone's comments about Hubert Davis were an absolute masterclass in how to address a situation like this. Classy and spoken with the experience of someone who has been on the other side of being fired. Just more proof that he "gets it".
Bidding against potentially 2-3 NBA teams?
Counterpoint: UNC has had coaches giving a hometown discount for 4 decades. Davis was probably commensurate with experience. Newmark has a point: top 5 job needs top 5 money. Whether Malone is the guy to get that money is a separate discussion.
Dear Leader can never fail, he can only be failed.
Oh absolutely. It's easier than ever to keep your coach, especially in #CoachesAndAgentsGettingPaidSzn
What I'm not seeing in the reporting on the Tommy Lloyd/UNC situation: why did Arizona do on Friday what they weren't willing to do on Thursday: make it so Lloyd doesn't have to report to the AD? They must have believed he was out the door to Chapel Hill without that.
Fellow old here: it sure seems like, with all the modern strength and training methods as opposed to the 80s and 90s, it sure seems like guys have more and longer injuries but again, I'm old.
Your periodic reminder that evangelicals and white Christian nationalists do not consider Catholics as "Christian"
Which is gonna be a real problem for JD Vance in 2028 BTW (and probably not help sales of his new book)
Dude they are so, so bad. The beach is where I first encountered them but the Bo's by our house has been AI for over a year now. The lady at the drive-thru window said you can ask for a person and she also taught us how to make some of our favorite orders so the AI would understand it.
Need to fact check this with @timmiller.bsky.social as to the safety of the Mardigraboo
I have truly been amazed especially the last 15 months how much of our government relied on people following rules and norms and when someone comes along with no shame and no conscience and just does stuff, there's no recourse. I'm not sure we can ever go back.
That was the whole point. Break it, know it was illegal when you did it, by the time the courts rule it was illegal, the thing stays broken. See also, East Wing of the White House
Same thing coming on mail-in voting BTW
From my lips...
Jon *Scheyer* not you ๐คฆ๐ผโโ๏ธ
Careful Jon that ish will get you fired some places
My kid got 3 outs on 9 pitches with a K in his 1 inning of work today to set up the closer who blew the save so I'm hoping a similar fate for Duke.
Crazy thing is my algo is filled with The Pitt stuff and in all those, the actress's hair is straight and you never would have made the connection. But curly and pulled back? Robin Curtis 40 years later, baby.
Something was driving me crazy about this season of "The Pitt" and I finally figured it out.
I can't not see it now.
Sean makes a great point, but multiple things can be true. The other 2 years degrade the confidence in the long-term ability to get the job done. Indicative of the inconsistency that has defined his tenure.
Workshopping things people are going to say about him when the hamburger from heaven finally does its job
