I find this easy to do myself, but nearly impossible to persuade my friends and family to do. Everybody I know is in Ama$on, Walmart or worse. In the end, very few have been able to grab 'em by the wallet for any length of time.

A young rat snake turning the corner. He has pretty markings and notices me at the same time I notice him. He is lifting his head to see what I am.
The rat snake was released next to the stream, shown here as he crosses over a branch and many leaves in the water.
Yesterday a bit of excitement for me and a young rat snake. We both wanted to use my bathroom at the same time. I'm very grateful to my friend who was willing to come up and help me capture and release young snake. Here are before and after pictures:
